Our PI insurance cover is £2 million. We also hold a separate £10 million Employers and Public Liability insurance policies and a £1 million drone insurance policy.
It will probably be no surprise to hear that it largely depends on how large and/or complex the property is. For example a 1,000 square foot retail property may take an hour and a half for one surveyor but a 100,000 square foot industrial unit with office accommodation may take two surveyors a day to adequately survey. The surveyor will also likely carry out desktop research before visiting the property and then time compiling the report post survey. From start to end the whole instruction may take between 10 to 20 days on average, from point of instruction to final report.
