Commercial building survey in Southampton ahead of freehold acquisition.
We were instructed by a business who wanted to purchase the freehold of a 1,900 square foot light industrial unit on Solent Business Park in Hedge End, Southampton. As they were looking to carry out a complete refurbishment of the property post acquisition they were less interested in the condition of the internal finishes but wanted comprehensive reporting on the condition of the elements that would be retained, such as; the structure, roof coverings, elevations, windows and doors.
We were happy to oblige and tailored our building consultancy Southampton services and reporting to focus on the external building fabric, structure and building services along with reporting on matters of non-compliance currently within the property.
The report provided allowed them to negotiate the terms of the sale with the Vendor and also to go into the transaction informed.
